Even the army has been deployed in the state to control the situation, but the pictures of violence since two and a half months are disturbing. Now an embarrassing video has gone viral on social media. 

According to news agency PTI, tension prevailed in the hill region of Manipur after the video of two women being paraded naked in Manipur surfaced on Wednesday (July 19). In this video of May 4, it is seen that some people from the other side are parading two women of a community naked.

In a statement condemning the ‘heinous act’, the spokesperson demanded that the central and state governments, the National Commission for Women and the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes take cognizance of the crime and take action against the perpetrators.

Kuki-Jo tribals also plan to raise the issue during a proposed protest march to Churchandpur on Thursday. To bring the situation under control in Manipur, Union Minister Amit Shah visited the state in late May and spoke to the people. appealed to maintain peace. On the other hand, the opposition party is the prime minister Narendra Modi is being accused of keeping silence on the matter.

Even the houses of some big leaders have not been spared from the grip of violence. On the night of June 15, the mob ransacked and set fire to the house of Union Minister of State for External Affairs RK Ranjan Singh. Earlier on June 14, some people also set fire to the official residence of Women Minister Nemcha Kipjen in Lamphel area of ​​Imphal.

The Central Government had called an all-party meeting on the issue of Manipur on 24th June. Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed about the steps to be taken by the government in the state in the meeting. The opposition had demanded the immediate removal of state Chief Minister N Biren Singh. Some leaders demanded imposition of President’s rule in the state.

According to media reports, Garcetti had said in Kolkata on July 6 that the violence and killings in Manipur were a ‘humanitarian concern’ It is a matter of concern and if America is asked then it is ready to cooperate with India to deal with the situation.

On Garcetti’s alleged remarks, the Congress had targeted the Center and demanded that whether External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar would summon the US ambassador and say that America has no role in the Manipur issue? In the past, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had also visited the state and had said in a tweet that he had told the public that ‘have courage, everything will be fine’. We are with you.
